GEORGE RENTAL WORKS · PLANNING GUIDE

Will a porta potty fit in your Garland backyard?

A unit’s footprint answers only part of the question. Gates, turns, wires and the service approach decide whether backyard placement is workable.

Measure the route before choosing the spot

Start at the street and follow the route to the proposed location. Record the narrowest gate, any sharp turns, steps, overhead branches and low-hanging wires. A unit approximately four feet wide may fit through one opening while the delivery approach remains unsuitable. Do not treat a product width as a promised truck-clearance requirement.

Think about collection on the same day you plan delivery

Plan for pickup access at the same time as delivery. A used unit contains wastewater and needs appropriate handling before removal. The driver may need access for pumping as well as loading. Keep the approach available after the party, rather than parking vehicles or storing decorations in it.

Choose a position that stays usable

Firm, level ground matters for the unit and the route. For a Garland backyard, consider how rain changes the lawn or unpaved approach. Avoid a spot that blocks a walkway, emergency access or a required accessible route. Ask about a front-yard alternative if rear access is uncertain.

Give clear instructions if nobody will be waiting

An unattended delivery can sometimes work with approved access and precise placement notes. A cone or sign can identify the preferred position. Provide a reachable contact and a backup contact where possible. Record any arrival-call request, but confirm whether that request is guaranteed.

Use the pre-delivery checklist

Clear cars and loose objects. Confirm the gate arrangement through the approved contact channel. Tell the team about wires or restrictions instead of expecting the driver to discover them. Keep the requested placement separate from a promise that it will be possible; the safe approach still has to be reviewed.

Ready to discuss the location?

Send your Garland-area ZIP code, date, use and access description. Compare a standard unit with a flushing model if an interior sink matters. The rental team can review equipment and access together before you commit to the arrangement.
