Confirm what the model is designed to provide
Wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant are not interchangeable labels. Ask for the assigned model and its manufacturer documentation. A specification for the Comfort XL should not be reused as evidence for a different unit, nor should a wide door alone be treated as proof of full compliance.
Check the route from the event
People need to reach and enter the facility. Review surfaces, changes in level, clear width, entrance space and obstacles. Keep the route open during setup, event operation and teardown. A temporary cable, trash bin or parked vehicle can undo an otherwise workable plan.
Treat separate clusters separately
The Access Board’s guidance addresses accessible portable facilities within clusters. Using the 5% planning calculation, a cluster of 20 needs one accessible unit, while 21 rounds to two. Read the complete official guidance and applicable scope; do not average one accessible unit across distant groups without review.
Do not confuse radius with diameter
The frequently cited 60-inch circular turning space is a diameter, not a radius. Applicable requirements also address fixture clearances, doors, grab bars and alternative turning-space configurations. Avoid reducing compliance to one memorable number.
Coordinate with the venue and responsible professional
Share the restroom plan with the venue or project lead who is responsible for overall accessibility. Equipment selection is one piece of that plan. Confirm any additional event, building or site requirements before booking.
Request the correct rental
Tell George Rental Works that an ADA-compliant setup is required when that is the case. Include the site layout, expected guests, separate restroom groups and approach conditions. The earlier these details are available, the easier it is to assess suitable equipment and placement.
